3.1. Institutional Strengths
* Catering to higher educational needs of rural girls from marginal sections of the society.
* Good pass percentage in university examinations
* Special lectures on moral education. Human values and social responsibilities.
* Social awareness and community orientation among the students.
* Continuous internal assessment carrying 20% of total marks.
3.2 Institutional weakness
* Limited academic flexibility e mostly traditional course offered without ICT component
* absence of research culture only two faculty members are PhD qualified
* average dropout rate is rather high
* land area limits the growth and expansion
* absence of a long-term perspective plan and roadmap
* Options of NCC limits the job prospect of the students
* lack of Computer training programs for students’ staff and faculty

* Maintain its existence against the Rapid growth of nearby colleges
* majority of students opting for Kannada medium of instructions and exams poses a challenge for gaining proficiency in English language and communication skill Which may limit the job prospects
* To boost the image of the college due to the absence of programme opportunities in science computer science management etc
* To change the mindset of the teachers and motivate them for research activities
* To empower the students with knowledge intellect and skill and bring them to mainstream of life and work
* To reduce the dropout rate
Section 4: Recommendations for quality enhancement of the institutions
* College main go for program diversification with the opening of need based UG courses on science home science library science computer application Business Administration music and fine arts and some viable PG course
* learning to be made holistic enjoyable andfuturistic
* promote research activities by increasing the teachers to go for PHD and apply for research projects from Central agencies, a research committee may be set up to monitorresearch activities.
* A language lab may be established to impart English communication skills to students, staff and faculty.
* placement cell and grievances redressal cell are in place to be strengthened. counselling cell with a female professional Counsellor be established
* a computer Centre and Central facility having more computers with internet connectivity e may be set up. it may organize Computer training programs for students, staff and faculty.
* college may explore thepossibility ofestablishing women's Study Centre with UGC assistance
* a formal mechanism of collecting feedback form students and other stakeholders on all aspects may be developed, analysed and follow up action may be taken.
* MIS is to be initiated.
* Being Women College More women faculty members need to be recruited.
* ICT use in teaching learning strengthened with the provision of at least one computer with broadband internet for each department.
* Coaching classes for competitive examinations PG entrance exams be conducted for all students specially SC/ST/OBC students.
* College may organise more faculty development programs, seminar workshops and teachers need to be encouraged to participate in national, state level seminars, workshops and conferences with financial assistance from the institution.

ABOUT US

The Bharatiya Adima Jaati Sevak Sangh® in short BAJSS is all India level voluntary organization registered in the year 1949–50 at New Delhi. The objectives of the BAJSS is the work for the Socioeconomic and educational advance of the Adima Jaati (Primitive and Aboriginal tribes) communities and weaker sections including Nomadic and De-notified (Vimukta) tribes, from the academic year 1979-80 in India. A view to enable them to take their legitimate place in the National life as equal citizens. It has expanded its educational activities throughout the country till date. A local committee formed by the authorities of all India BAJSS have started BAJSS Arts and Commerce College for women, Ranebennur from the academic year 1979-80, exclusively meant for Women's education and the college is affiliated to Karnataka State Women's University since 2003-2004.
